Tiny Layer Lab β€” Privacy Policy

Effective date: [EFFECTIVE DATE β€” TO BE ADDED BEFORE LAUNCH]

Tiny Layer Lab (β€œTiny Layer Lab”, β€œTLL”, β€œwe”, β€œus” or β€œour”) is a parent-managed 3D-printing business based in Dubai, UAE. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when customers use the website, submit a custom-print request, communicate with us, or purchase products, and how that information is used and protected.

This is a first draft for business and legal review. It is not legal advice and is not presented as a finally approved or published policy.

1

Information we may collect

Depending on how you interact with TLL, we may collect:

  • Your name, email, phone or WhatsApp number, and preferred contact method.
  • Custom-print request information and voluntary notes or messages.
  • Quantity, dimensions, colours, materials, design preferences and production requirements.
  • Uploaded photographs, reference images, and supported STL, 3MF, OBJ, PDF or other design and reference files.
  • Quotation, order and communication information.
  • Limited technical information needed for website security and misuse prevention.

Please do not provide personal information that is unrelated to your request or order.

2

How we use information

We may use this information to:

  • Review feasibility and understand your design or customization requirements.
  • Create or prepare a custom design and generate a quotation.
  • Communicate with you, obtain approval and manufacture an approved product.
  • Arrange delivery or collection, provide support and assist with possible reprints.
  • Protect the website and business from misuse, spam or fraud.

Submitting a custom-print request is not a confirmed order.

3

Customer photographs and personal images

You may upload photographs of yourself or other people. These images are used only to review the request, prepare the design, produce the approved item and support a possible reprint. If other people appear, you must have their permission to submit the images.

4

Marketing and portfolio use β€” optional consent

TLL does not automatically use personal images or custom creations for marketing. If you separately opt in, TLL may display submitted images and/or photographs of the finished 3D creation on its website, portfolio or social media. This is optional and is not required to process your request. Without consent, we will not use or display them for marketing.

Optional marketing consent: I allow Tiny Layer Lab to display the images I submitted and/or photos of the finished 3D creation on its website, portfolio and social media. If I leave this unchecked, my images and finished creation will not be used for marketing or promotional display.
5

Design and reference file retention

Customer-uploaded photographs, reference images, STL, 3MF and other working files may be retained for up to 30 days after completion or closure of the request or order to support a possible reprint. After that, they may be removed from active storage. Basic business records may be retained separately for normal business, accounting, dispute and record-keeping purposes.

6

Reprints

During the 30-day retention window, you may request a reprint. Reprints are subject to material availability, current pricing, printer availability, feasibility and any required changes. A previous price is not guaranteed.

7

Digital design files

A purchase normally covers the physical product. STL, 3MF and other digital files are not automatically included. Files may be shared case by case upon request, subject to the project, intellectual-property and licensing conditions.

8

Intellectual property and permissions

You must own or have permission to use every photograph, design, model, logo, character, artwork or other item you submit. TLL may decline requests where rights are unclear or the request may infringe another person's rights.

9

How we store and protect information

We take reasonable steps to protect information and use private file storage for custom request files. These files are not normally public. However, no online system or storage method can offer an absolute security guarantee.

10

Service providers

We may use providers for hosting, databases, file storage, email, communications, security and, if introduced later, analytics or payments. They process information only as needed to provide those services. TLL does not sell customer personal information to advertisers.

11

Cookies and analytics

Essential technical storage may be used for the website to function securely. If optional analytics, advertising or other non-essential tracking is added later, this policy and any required consent choices will be updated before activation.

12

Customer rights and requests

You may ask what information we hold, request correction of inaccuracies, ask questions, withdraw optional marketing consent, or request deletion of eligible data or files. We may need enough information to verify your identity and locate the relevant request.
